Ha. It’s funny how I’ve been thinking of Sunday school songs for blog titles, but I guess it shouldn’t be a surprise huh?
lol. Anyways, for the people who don’t know what song I’m talking about:
I’ve got peace like a river/I’ve got peace like a river/
I’ve got peace like a river in my heart
I’ve got peace like a river/I’ve got peace like a river/
I’ve got peace like a river in my heart…
Today, we had our usual Wednesday prayer meeting, and yes, as always, it was refreshing. There is something so amazing about just lifting everything up to God. He just really takes away the worries and replaces it with His peace that surpasses all understanding. Oh yeah, I am such a worrier, always Miss Practical. But worrying won’t do anything but stress me out and waste my time. Praying…. is indescribable, oh, especially when you do it with people who are passionate for the things they are submitting to God. This blog is a short one, I just wanted to share my thoughts. But yeah, after my turn to pray, I just had “Peace Like a River” playing in my head.
For all other worriers out there:
Philippians 4 (NIV)
“4Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
